ABC KID’S SHOW & LAUNCH PARTY IN VEGAS!

Hey Everyone...Again, apologies for not posting reguarly!  We are working on it! 

We just returned from Las Vegas and ABC KIDS SHOW where we had an amazing response to Belle Parish...it was such a success, one that we didn't necessarily expect.  My parents flew in from Louisiana to help us set up the first day.  I must say that I have the best parents in the world.  They flew in, helped unload our cars, worked all day and the icing on top was that the Las Vegas convention center had no air and it was around 100 degrees.  My mother said she had ONE LONG HOT FLASH the entire day.  I really love and appreciate my parents for their help, we sure needed it.  It took about 6 hours, but we finally finished and were ready for the first day. 

The show was wonderful...We met so many small business owners like ourselves who started with a dream...and here they were making it happen.  It was truly inspiring.
I was also able to check out some really amazing products coming out in the childrens market that will make all moms lives so much easier. Cant wait to share that with all of you.
It really was a family affair, Annie Kate's (my business partner) husband corby, her parents and some of her relatives came out to support us, along with Alejandro, Estela, and my dear friends Aimee and Bill and their beautiful little girl Alexandra, who was one of our models for our photoshoot.  I cannot tell you how much it meant to us to have our loved ones show up for such special time in our lives.

I have to share a moment I will not forget.  Annie and I were at our booth ,and had just wrote an order to some wonderful buyers who have been in the childrens business for over 50 years.  They told us that they knew that all of their cusomers would love Belle Parish and they really felt that we had something SPECIAL on our hands.  After they walked away, we stood still in the booth and I looked over at Annie and told her how happy I was- we both started to tear up.  I guess it was because we had worked so hard at something that we are both so passionate about and to have someone else validate us in that way....it just felt like it was all worth it.  It was pretty silly, but sweet. 

To end the weekend we celebrated with a launch party for Belle Parish at the Wynn...over 500 people showed up and it was a ball!  We got to see a lot of the people we had chatted with during the week, some buyers, new friends, etc.  We were sad the convention ended but were so grateful about all of the orders we placed and all of the connections we made.  It's a good start for us...and it's moving fast!
