ABC KID’S SHOW & LAUNCH PARTY IN VEGAS!

Hey Everyone...Again, apologies for not posting reguarly!  We are working on it! 

We just returned from Las Vegas and ABC KIDS SHOW where we had an amazing response to Belle Parish...it was such a success, one that we didn't necessarily expect.  My parents flew in from Louisiana to help us set up the first day.  I must say that I have the best parents in the world.  They flew in, helped unload our cars, worked all day and the icing on top was that the Las Vegas convention center had no air and it was around 100 degrees.  My mother said she had ONE LONG HOT FLASH the entire day.  I really love and appreciate my parents for their help, we sure needed it.  It took about 6 hours, but we finally finished and were ready for the first day. 

The show was wonderful...We met so many small business owners like ourselves who started with a dream...and here they were making it happen.  It was truly inspiring.
I was also able to check out some really amazing products coming out in the childrens market that will make all moms lives so much easier. Cant wait to share… read more >

WWW.BELLEPARISH.COM ABOUT TO LAUNCH!

Hey Everybody!  There should be about 8 blog posts between my first and now, but I've been so busy with Belle Parish.  This is an important blog b/c the Belle Parish website is about to be up and running!  We can't wait for everyone to see the clothes, the concept, and all the hard work we've put in!  My partner, Annie Kate and I had a photo shoot last week for the line and it was fantastic!  We created a 'wonderland' set up in my backyard...our prop stylist, Katie Byron was amazing and the photographer, Tamar Levine captured the feeling of Belle Parish.  You can see both of their work at http://www.tamarlevine.com and http://www.katiebyron.com

We couldn't have done the shoot without Katie's expertise in prop styling and her creative sense put all the details in place and went beyond our expectations!  Tamar was a trooper working with kids and moms!  it was a long and very chaotic day, but she was able to portray through pictures what we envisioned while designing the line.  It is so fulfilling to see it all come together and to know that the hard work paid off!

WELCOME Y’ALL!

Hey Everybody!  Thanks for visiting my site…I am really excited- this is my first website and my first blog!  A lot is going on right now with my family and my career, and this blog will just be a place for me to share.  I hope you all enjoy it and enjoy getting to know me a little better.

So, this summer has been so busy.  I have a toddler running around, which keeps me crazy and constantly challenged.  Estela turned two in July and we celebrated with a Shirley Temple inspired party!  It was so much fun and I’m amazed at how quickly each stage of her little life goes by…she was a baby not long ago.  Both sides of the family came to LA for Estela’s birthday party.  One side of the family is from Louisiana and my husband’s family is from Mexico.  We got creative on how to communicate, seeing as how neither family speaks the other family’s language. Most of the summer has been a lot of family time, birthday parties, and a quick getaway for the parents (me and Alejandro)!!  I will post pictures below!
